Do you want to be part of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open 2025 team?

BNP Paribas Nordic Open, formerly known as the Stockholm Open, has been voted by the players several times as the world’s best ATP 250 tournament. We are incredibly proud of this and strive every year to deliver a world-class experience for both players and spectators.

To host a sustainable, top-tier tennis tournament, we rely on dedicated individuals who share our passion for the sport and want to contribute as volunteers in various roles throughout the week. We kindly ask that each volunteer works at least five shifts during the tournament, with each shift corresponding to approximately half a day.

👇 Below, you can see the different groups you can apply for. The button you click will indicate your first-choice group.
In the next step, you’ll also be able to select a second and third choice, in case there is no availability in your first-choice group.

Volunteer Groups

Accreditation

At the accreditation desk, all necessary access for everyone involved — players, coaches, volunteers, journalists, sponsors, and more — is handled. The main responsibility in this group is to issue accreditation to those who meet the requirements and ensure that unauthorized individuals do not gain access to restricted areas. You are often the first point of contact with the tournament for many important guests, so qualities such as a service mindset, friendliness, and attention to detail are essential. You should be 18 years or older. If you enjoy meeting people from the extended “tennis family” — including some of the world’s top players — there is probably no better place to be.

Arena Host

Are you service-minded and enjoy meeting tennis fans? Our approximately 90 arena hosts play one of the most important roles during the tournament. You will help visitors find their seats, answer questions about facilities such as cloakrooms and restrooms, and direct them to food areas. You also make sure no one enters the stands during play and that each guest feels welcome and taken care of. As an arena host, you will be around the courts, giving you the chance to watch a lot of tennis while you work. You should be at least 16 years old.

Chauffeur

Drivers transport players, ATP staff, sponsors, and other guests to and from the Royal Tennis Hall. As a driver, you are often the first representative of the tournament that the player meets. You should be service-minded, sociable, and have good local knowledge of Stockholm. Requirements include having held a valid driver’s license for at least three years, being between 22 and 70 years old, and having good English skills (additional languages are a plus). If you are considered for this role, our transport coordinator will contact you, and you may be asked to provide one or more references.

Court Staff

This role is suited for someone with a good understanding of how a tennis tournament operates, preferably with tournament management experience, strong language skills, good leadership qualities, and a sense of order. If a player needs something during a match, the chair umpire will contact the court manager to resolve the situation. Another task is to ensure that the locker rooms are kept clean and tidy and to escort players to and from their matches. You will therefore have frequent contact with the players. As the week progresses, the workload decreases, and you should be prepared to assist colleagues in other roles if needed. You should be at least 18 years old.

Media Center

Are you studying media and/or communication, or perhaps already working in the field? In the media center, you will act both as a host for visiting journalists and help manage the tournament’s own communication through the website and social media.

Tasks include organizing and attending press conferences, publishing articles, interviews, match reports, video clips, updating the photo gallery, and more. You need to work quickly and efficiently, especially during peak periods. The week in the media center starts off relatively calm and ramps up towards the finals weekend.

Players Service

The Players Lounge is a designated area where players can relax between matches and training. Here, players can eat, prepare for matches, and unwind. The lounge also handles practice court bookings, laundry, or restaurant reservations. Working in the Players Lounge mainly involves ensuring that players and their coaches have a pleasant experience at the venue with top-level service. The lounge is open from early morning until the last match finishes.

We prefer that you are at least 21 years old and have previous service experience. It is an advantage if you have volunteered at the Nordic Open or Swedish Open before. This role requires that you are resilient under pressure and can stay calm and act efficiently in stressful situations while maintaining excellent service. Good English skills are required, and additional languages are a plus.

Public Entrance

At the public entrance, you are responsible for scanning visitors’ tickets and checking accreditations. This is an important role to ensure that only authorized guests enter the arena. As you are the first person most visitors meet, it’s important that you are attentive and service-minded.

Ticket Office

Do you enjoy working with people and staying organized? At the ticket office, located at the arena’s public entrance, our ticket volunteers interact with visitors by selling tickets and answering various ticket-related questions. The work can be hectic before major matches, so this role suits someone who can handle stress and stay organized. You should be 18 years or older.

VIP Welcome Service

Are you sociable, flexible, and enjoy meeting new people? Working at the VIP desk is perfect for someone who loves providing excellent service. Located in the public entrance area, this is the hub for our sponsors’ dedicated VIP section. Here, you assist sponsors and VIP guests with collecting tickets, booking transportation, and arranging evening events. The desk is relatively calm early in the week and gets busier from Wednesday onwards. If you are flexible, sociable, service-minded, and at least 20 years old, VIP Welcome Service could be for you.
